Lake Lanier

The other day, I flew my drone over North Lake Lanier with the mountains looming on the horizon. Flying drones for pleasure or for business can be a lot of fun. But did you know, in some cases you need to be licensed by the FAA? It’s called a Part 107 Drone License.

If you use your drone for work or business, you must have a license. If you’re only flying a drone for fun, no license needed. However, that doesn’t mean you don’t have to register your drone with the FAA. Any drone weighing more than 0.55 pounds is required to be registered with the FAA.

So stay legal and fly safe.
